Strengthen and Expand Regional Mission

Greater Lansing must think regionally, plan regionally, and act regionally to ensure long-term success.  The business community, government, schools, and non-governmental organizations must become linked in effective ways to ensure a prosperous future.

Leap will work with existing and potential business, government, and NGO partners to ensure that we approach economic development with a regional mindset, speak with a common voice, and understand and value the benefits of collaborative, flexible, and action-oriented approaches.

 COMMITTEE UPDATE:  In May 2010, the public members of the Regional Mission Strategy Team asked that the committee refocus its efforts to smaller service areas and split into subcommittees.  To do this, a survey was sent to all members requesting their input on what specific service areas should be targeted.   Once collected, the survey showed an overwhelming preference to discuss issues relating to transportation and land use with additional interest in exploring issues ...
