Leap launched the “Next Bright Idea” competition in the fall of 2009 to foster and reward smart and innovative thinking and support entrepreneurship amongst our region’s college students.  Greater Lansing residents voted for the competition’s ten finalists, and a group of judges selected Spartanicity as the winner at a community event on February 25. Founders Adam Root, David Switzer, and Joe Brummitt received $5,000 to further develop their East Lansing grocery delivery service, Spartanicity.  Leap’s business development team is currently assisting all ten finalists in further exploring the implementation of the “next bright idea”.  Plans for another competition this fall are currently underway.
